UVAR Hackathon May 9th

As member of the UVAR consortium we like to invite you on behalf of UVAR BOX to join a hackathon and show cities and European authorities what to do with UVAR data!

It will start online on May 9th and end in a reward ceremony at the ITS Congress in Toulouse at the end of May.

UVAR Box is an EU-funded project aiming at the digital communication of regulations on vehicle access to cities to road users, through their incorporation into navigation systems or mobile applications.

Access regulations to cities include Low Emission Zones, Parking Regulations, Congestion Charging Schemes, Limited Traffic Zones and Pedestrian Zones.

The project provides a data structure for these regulations, machine-readable formats of the regulations’ data, and a user-friendly software tool with documentation and training to help authorities put their regulations into this format.

More information is available at https://uvarbox.eu

We organise this hackathon to challenge developers to use UVAR data and demonstrate new and alternative uses that are of benefit to both users and city authorities.

The hackathon starts on May 9th with a kick-off meeting. From then on, participants have 2 weeks to submit their proposals. During this time, the UVAR Box Hackathon Committee is available to support participants in case of any doubts. The solutions will be reviewed and the winner will be announced end of May at the ITS Congress in Toulouse.

More information and registration to participate in the hackathon is available at https://lnkd.in/gqzC5wsu .

We hope this challenge is of interest to you and we look forward to receiving your application!
